Long ago, China was known as “the Land of the Divine.” It was a magical time when heroes, sages, emperors and immortals intermingled, as dragons and phoenixes roamed the Earth. This semi-divine culture permeated throughout society and through 5,000 years of history.
Now, Shen Yun Performing Arts brings this rich and profound culture once again to Broward Center with their new January 2016 show. They offer a glimpse into a world that was almost completely lost, as ancient legends come alive onstage. Every dance evokes the grandest emotion with unrivaled mastery, while a live orchestra blends Eastern and Western instruments in perfect harmony.
Ancient Chinese believed that civilization consisted of the material and spiritual.

While material culture is tangible in things like books and gardens, spiritual culture cannot be seen or touched. Yet it contains the essence of civilization as it passes through generations, and determines how people behave and what they create. Shen Yun is banned in China today due to this spiritual culture; yet they continue to inspire audiences worldwide.
Shen Yun Performing Arts takes place January 8-10, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Call Hotline: 888-974-3698, Box Office: 954-462-0222 or visit ShenYun.com/ft-lauderdale.
