Have you ever made a goal to do something and never achieved it? Well, it might be because you didn’t prioritize your goals. What do I mean by this? If you figure out what is important to accomplish first, then maybe you might get a chance to finish a task you have been hoping to bring to completion.
Prioritizing your goals is the key to personal success. I’ll tell you why. If you know what’s needed to make yourself comfortable to fulfill your desires, then you are better prepared to take on all your personal goals. What’s first, you ask? Well, it’s different for everyone. Some people have health issues that need to be attended to, such as weak knees, back pain, digestive concerns, migraines, etc. A quick visit to your primary physician may be what the “doctor orders” to get your health back on track.
If you are having anxiety, grieving the loss of a loved one, arguing with a spouse or partner or not sleeping very well, why not call a mental health professional to set up a time to talk about what’s getting to you. Why not see both? Being armed with good physical and mental health is crucial to realize your dreams.
What’s next? Well, you need to think about what else is stopping you. Is it fear of the unknown, is it fear of change, is it just plain old FEAR? I love the quote by FDR: we have nothing to fear except fear itself. In my business, being afraid of fear is a PANIC ATTACK! My new favorite quote is: “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” If you are afraid to make the first step, ask someone who has made changes in their life and how they got through it. When it comes to fear, you are certainly not alone!
Are you having financial concerns? Who isn’t, you say? Well, these issues can really stand in the way of progress to achieve any kind of goal. Get your financial house in order before you start taking on big goals as this kind of stress can really put a damper on your ability to complete a task or reach your goal.
Do you feel like there is something missing in your life besides not meeting your goals? Maybe you stopped attending your synagogue or church as an adult and you could use some love and attention from your higher power. Having a sense of spiritual guidance can be very helpful to you as you plan your new life. Try to get in touch with your inner voice by attending a religious service or visiting your favorite peaceful place like a beach or a park to calm your inner self.
The best way to achieve your wishes is to be in a happier, more joyful personal place. Make sure you engage in activities that appeal to your sense of fun, playfulness and where you feel like you belong and that you are loved. Being jubilant in your own space is the best launching pad to make your dreams come true.
You can see from these suggestions that the right ingredients need to be present in order to create the perfect environment for successful achievement of your goals. So, get your rocket fuel ready and blast off into a star studded future!
