The Sarasota campus of Everglades University will be hosting a Free Integrative Health and Wellness Fair on campus July 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Guests will learn information about alternative approaches to health & wellness; meet local practitioners, organizations and businesses; and listen in on lectures from faculty members for the Alternative Medicine and Public Health Administration programs.
Community partners who have been invited include the Florida Department of Health for Manatee County, Wild Ginger Apothecary Richard’s Foodporium, Super Slow Zone, Florida Blue, Morales Acupuncture & Holistic, Fit Life Foods, Jill Kreiger, Health Coach and many other holistic and wellness vendors.
The community is encouraged to attend the lectures and information series from our Alternative Medicine and Public Health Administration faculty members. Their presentations will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on topics including public health, personalized nutrition, and GMOs: Truth vs. Myth. The Manatee County Department of Health participants will cover a wide range of topics including community gardens, epidemiology, the HIV Mobile Unit, tobacco cessation, what an individual’s healthiest weight is, and more. Their sessions will be beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 7:00 p.m.
