“Ask yourself, ‘How am I creating my reality?’” That is the question bestselling author, physician and mind-body healing pioneer Deepak Chopra posed to a young man struggling with how much of life is random chance. It is a question he will explore when he returns to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, in Fort Lauderdale, at 7:30 p.m., on March 24.

“You create your reality through intention and opportunity,” he says, noting that five factors greatly influence our perceptions about ourselves: beliefs, expectations, assumptions, perceptions and moods.

A world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation, Chopra is a recipient of the 2002 Einstein Humanitarian Award through Albert Einstein College of Medicine in collaboration with the American Journal of Psychotherapy. His tremendous impact on our culture led him to be called the “the poet-prophet of alternative medicine,” by Time Magazine which also named him one of the 100 heroes and icons of the 20th century.
